Part of being a portrait photographer means always keeping an eye out for new and interesting locations for portrait sittings. When I find a promising setting, I’ll go back to the same location at different times and in different conditions to see when the best light happens. If I’ve found great light and an interesting location, half of my work is done. The photoshoot is primed for success and I can focus all my energy on making my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera.
This spot in Oakdale is a gorgeous location I’ve been watching for a while now. In the evening, sweet sunlight pores through the trees and gives definition to the expansive backgrounds. The area is bathed in golden light, just waiting for someone to come along and look beautiful while getting portraits taken.
