I’ll be posting more images from this senior portrait session later this week, but I just wanted to share this portrait really quickly because I am totally loving it.  Lizzie took it as an homage to this famous Johnny Cash portrait, although Natalya here is waaaayyyy more beautiful than Johnny :)

It was so hard to narrow down this post to just a few portraits to share from this senior portrait session.  Everything about this sitting was gorgeous!  Haley herself is so pretty with stunning eyes and perfect hair, the clothes were incredibly chic, and we could not have asked for better lighting and locations.  For this session, we started out in Minneapolis and took portraits in and outside of the studio.  We then moved to the Minneahaha Falls area of St. Paul to get some lovely field and garden portraits.

Aren’t these hats to die for?!?  I love love love doing fun hat portraits.  They are a great way to show some personality without going prop crazy.

I love photographing dancers!  Haley is a dancer and a cheerleader, so posing came naturally.

Claire is a senior who is not likely to be forgotten any time soon.  She’s originally from France, does Tae Kwon Do, and is seriously gorgeous!  She wanted an urban feel to her portraits, so we headed to downtown Minneapolis and had some fun.

While I was taking a portrait from a different angle, Lizzie took the image on the right.  Isn’t it just lovely?  I love having such a talented assistant photographer!

Aren’t they such a gorgeous couple?!  Tina & Greg were married at Hope Community Church in downtown Minneapolis & opted for some pre-ceremony photographs at Loring Park with their bridal party.  They were up for anything which made for a good mixture of really fun & gorgeous wedding images.  Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Taviah’s sitting was such a blast!  Taviah would be going to Woodbury HS this year, but she’s a smarty pants and is taking college classes instead.  She also loves old movies and I swear she was channeling an old time movie starlet because she was such a natural in front of the camera.

Catherine + Luke {Edina Wedding}

Love, love, loved photographing this wedding. C+L were married in Edina at St. Stephen Episcopal Church which is an absolutely gorgeous venue. It’s the perfect cross between a cottage in the woods and a stately cathedral. As beautiful as the setting was, it paled in comparison to the obvious love C+L have for each other. I know everyone in attendance was touched by the beauty of the ceremony. Afterwards, the wedding party moved to Rice Park in St. Paul for the reception. Rice Park and the surrounding buildings are so lovely that we had take a few more images of the bride and groom before the festivities started!
