Last week, we brought a kitten home!  She’s pocket sized and pretty much the most adorable thing ever, so of course I had to take some pet portraits of her.  Her name is Pigwidgeon (Piggy for short) and she is afraid of being on grass.  About 0.2 seconds after this was taken, she sprinted for the deck, which is actually improvement because she used to sit immobile till someone came and got her :)

This was such a fun senior photo shoot in Minneapolis.  Molly poses so naturally for the camera and has a fun sense of style, so we got a ton of great portraits.

When I find new locations, I try to always do a test shoot before taking a client there to do a portrait session.  I found this location a couple of weeks ago and I’m totally in love with it.  Such beautiful color and texture.  Katie was nice enough to be my test model.  Isn’t she gorgeous?  I’m also still coveting those sandals!

I photographed Molly for her senior portraits yesterday in the Uptown area of Minneapolis.  I love places like Uptown where there are tons of great places that look so different that from pictures, you’d never know those locations were right next to each other.  Anyway, Molly is crazy photogenic (I think she looks like Emma Watson from the Harry Potter movies) and this colorful wall was just crying out for some fun portraits.  I’ve done a collage of emotion portraits before, but in black and white, so it was fun to change it up and incorporate some color this time.

Taylor Senior Slideshow

I love the way all of Taylor’s portraits turned out, so I couldn’t help posting her slideshow on the blog.  Thanks for being such a great model Taylor!

I had an awesome senior shoot with Taylor yesterday.  She is a fun, laid back girl with a great smile.
